Libraries and other institutions that have online accessible records of manuscripts, letters (autographs) or archival deposits, are invited to give wider acces to their resources by having the records made accessible though the CERL Portal. The CERL Portal currently makes use of three protocols for inclusion of records (OAI, SRU, Z39.50).
The display of any record through the CERL Portal includes, whenever technically possible, a link to the same record in the database of origin, so that the full original data are directly accessible in the their native environment.
Contribution of records to the CERL Portal is free of charge, and membership of CERL is not required.
For details of the terms of collaboration between CERL and institutions that contribute records, please download our Memorandum of Agreement.
The technical requirements for contributing records to the CERL Portal are detailed in a brief questionnaire (Portal Requirements). Please return this Word-file to the current Project Coordinator, who will then contact you.
